When drilling the well, the Choke Kill Manifold were connected to either side of the BOP; the Choke Kill Manifold can accomplish the choke circulation and bleed by opening and closing the gate valve of the manifold or adjusting the choke valve. It also can adjust the pressure between the bit pressure and the casing. They are the tools used for balance-drilling or unbalanced-drilling. If the well blowout or kicks in the drilling process, bleed and reduce the pressure by opening the choke manifold in the sideway or the gate valve in the middle. Mud with high pressure from the well pump can control the blowout and kick when it goes into the casing through the kill manifold

Configuration

The choke manifold consists of choke valves, gate valves, line pipes, fittings, pressure gauges, and other components.

Operating Instructions

(1) The working pressure of all components on the choke manifold shall be compatible with that of the BOP stack used.
(2) The choke manifold shall be installed at a place where the operator can reach it easily. The pressure test must be performed before installation and the seat test pressure shall be equal to the rated working pressure.
(3) The line pipe shall be level and straight as much as it could. In case of the turn of the line pipe, the 120-degree steel bent pipe shall be used. The bore of the line pipe shall be large enough.
(4) The pressure gauge must be installed.
(5) In winter, the choke manifold can work under a low-temperature conditions.
