It is a Class A1 non-combustible inorganic ceramic that will not burn, drip or release toxic smoke, so the exterior wall keeps its decorative appearance without adding combustible risk. The board is glazed and can be left exposed as decoration, so fire performance and finish come from the same ceramic foam insulation board.
As well as fire safety, the board insulates with a thermal conductivity of 0.067 W/(m·K), and it absorbs only 0.6% water, so the facade does not swell or lose integrity in rain and humidity.
