Product Overview

The H3C WX2540X-LI is a gateway-type wireless controller (AC) independently developed by H3C Technologies Co., Ltd. It integrates multiple functions including refined user management, comprehensive radio resource management, 7×24 wireless security control, L2/L3 fast roaming, flexible QoS control and IPv4/IPv6 dual stack.

Designed for wireless networks of branch offices and small campuses, it combines gateway and AC functions. Working with H3C Fit AP series, it supports WIPS, firewall and other features to meet diverse enterprise networking demands. Equipped with rich ports including a built-in USB port for peripheral connection, it reduces the quantity and types of network devices required and cuts enterprise investment.

*When deployed with H3C Fit AP series, the WX2540X-LI is well suited for typical wireless applications such as WLAN access in small enterprise campuses and hotspot coverage at branch offices.

This controller manages legacy 802.11a/b/g/n/ac APs and works with 802.11ax APs. It boosts spectrum efficiency and user capacity, lowers deployment costs and optimizes experience in high-density scenarios.

Flexible Data Forwarding

It supports centralized, distributed and policy-based forwarding, plus centralized authentication with local forwarding, eliminating bandwidth bottlenecks caused by full traffic relay to AC.

Carrier-Grade Access Control

It adopts User Profile, MAC-based access and MAC-VLAN for refined user management. It also supports AP location-based access restriction to control user connection ranges.

Reliable Gateway Functions

Built for SMEs and branch networks, it features dual 2.5G WAN ports for link backup and high uplink speed. It supports PPPoE, NAT, static/dynamic IP and other common gateway functions.

Bonjour Gateway

It enables smooth use of Apple devices such as printers, TVs and tablets within enterprise networks.

Intelligent Channel Switching

It assigns optimal channels for APs and detects interference from radars, microwaves and other devices in real time to avoid signal conflicts.

Smart AP Load Balancing

It balances user sessions and traffic across APs to prevent overloading and guarantee stable network performance.

7-Layer Wireless Security (WIDS/WIPS)

It provides black/white list, rogue AP defense, abnormal packet detection and anti-attack capabilities against DoS, flood and man-in-the-middle attacks. Combined with firewalls/IPS, it delivers end-to-end 7-layer security.

RealTime Spectrum Guard (RTSG)

Working with Sensor APs, it offers 7×24 RF monitoring, interference identification, spectrum analysis and historical data recording via iMC platform. It supports Local and Monitor modes for flexible deployment.

Embedded RF Optimization Engine (ROE)

It enhances wireless performance via fair scheduling, interference filtering, multicast enhancement, power control and bandwidth guarantee for high-density access and media streaming.

Multiple Authentication Modes

802.1X: Supports TLS, PEAP, TTLS, MD5, local authentication and dynamic VLAN/ACL assignment.
MAC Authentication: Ideal for mobile terminals, allowing access only for pre-authorized devices.
Portal: Built-in portal server supports web authentication, page customization, redirection and billing, suitable for campus, city Wi-Fi and guest access.

IPv4/IPv6 Dual Stack

It fully supports native IPv6, including IPv6 packet processing, ACL and tunnel negotiation. IPv6 SAVI defends against forged IPv6 packets to secure network access.

End-to-End QoS

Compliant with Diff-Serv, it implements complete PHB scheduling to ensure stable transmission for data, voice and video services.

Fast L2/L3 Roaming

Unrestricted by subnets, it supports seamless L2/L3 roaming. Key caching cuts roaming latency below 50ms to meet strict requirements of voice services.
