Customizable Air Cooled Planetary Ball Mill with Ventilation
Structure for Heat Dissipation
The air-cooling planetary ball mill integrates a planetary milling system with a cooling device.
During high-speed grinding, many materials tend to generate heat
due to friction or exothermic reactions. Excessive temperature may
alter the physical and chemical properties of the materials,
resulting in undesirable grinding performance. The air-cooling
system helps control the temperature rise during the milling
process.
Features of Air-cooling Planetary Ball Mill
The air-cooling (low-temperature control) planetary ball mill combines a planetary milling system with an air-cooling unit. The
cooling device operates based on the principle of compressed air
refrigeration, allowing heat generated during grinding to be
rapidly removed through a circulating air-cooling system. Depending
on the surrounding environment, the temperature inside the milling
chamber can generally be maintained within a range of 5–15 °C.

This type of ball mill is particularly suitable for ultra-fine grinding processes that require controlled
low-temperature conditions, helping to prevent heat-related changes in material properties.
The air-cooling system features a simple design, user-friendly operation, easy maintenance, and
relatively low energy consumption.

Grinding Jars & Media Options

To prevent excessive abrasion, the hardness of grinding jars and
balls must exceed that of the material being processed. Normally,
jars and balls of the same material should be selected, with sizes
determined experimentally when necessary.

Company Profile

Hunan Jing Sheng Da Ceramic Technology Co., Ltd, established in
2016 and located in Changsha City, operates under the brand
"KINGDA". We specialize in the design, R&D, manufacturing, and
sales of laboratory ball mills, grinding jars, and nano grinding
solutions.
Free Grinding Experiment Service
We offer complimentary material grinding experiments and particle
size testing for customers who send us material samples. Our team

efficiency parameters.

Product Construction & Working Principle

Inner Structure
KINGDA planetary ball mills feature dust-resistant cast iron
construction with a one-piece casting molding process for the main
disk, significantly extending equipment lifespan compared to
conventional splicing methods.
Working Principle
The planetary ball mill operates similarly to planetary motion in
the solar system. Four or two ball mills positioned eccentrically
on a turntable perform simultaneous rotation and revolution (1:2
ratio). This motion generates strong Coriolis forces, creating
intense impact and friction that efficiently grind samples to
powder as fine as 0.1μm.

Additional FAQs
What's your smallest lab model?
Our 0.2L planetary ball mill (Model XQM-0.4A) measures 42*30*26cm
and weighs 20kg, with larger models available up to 100L capacity.
What maintenance does the equipment require?
We use specialized wear-resistant gears for reduced noise without
oil seal leakage risks. Models above XQM-20 use oil seals with
proper maintenance protocols.
What are your payment terms?
30% deposit via T/T with 70% balance against B/L copy, or 100% L/C
