The Computer-Controlled HDT Vicat Testing Machine, featuring an automatic lifting function for the sample holder, is specially designed to measure the heat deflection temperature and Vicat softening temperature of plastic, rubber and other relevant materials.
This instrument serves as an essential testing device for scientific research institutions, universities and colleges, as well as enterprise quality control departments.
Thermal Deformation Temperature: Primarily used to characterize the thermal deformation behavior of materials under actual loading conditions, serving as a key indicator for evaluating structural stability and performance in high-temperature environments.
Vicat Softening Point: Mostly used for quality control of polymer materials and as a reference index to identify thermal properties of new material grades. Note: This does not represent the actual service temperature of the material.
Thermal Deformation Temperature Test: Mount the sample on a support with specified span, apply designated load, and place in temperature-increasing environment. When deformation reaches predefined value, the recorded temperature is the thermal deformation temperature.
Vicat Softening Point Test: Place sample in heating medium and use standard pressure pin to press against sample under certain load. When pressure pin penetrates sample to depth of 1mm, the recorded temperature is the Vicat softening point.
