OKI 46507416 is a drum unit that is made by the OEM (Original
Equipment Manufacturer) for the C712 Series of printers by OKI.
This drum unit has photosensitive technology that helps produce the
toner image when the printer is printing. When printers do rainbow
printing, they need 4 different drum units (1 cyan, 1 magenta, 1
yellow, and 1 black) together to complete the rainbow image. The
drum unit provides an even quality and continues to give
high-quality text with accurate colour registration.
Each drum unit normally lasts for up to 30,000 pages, so they are
an important consumable part of any printer. At the end of the life
cycle of the drum unit, the printer should be replaced with a new
drum unit in order to achieve maximum performance of the printer
and avoid print defects such as streaks and/or faded print.
