Precautions
Clean the deck surface before installation: Thoroughly remove dust,
gravel, oil stains and other debris from the deck. If there are
raised rust spots or burrs, they need to be ground flat to ensure
the surface is clean and smooth, preventing the deck mat from
adhering poorly or being partially worn due to debris.
Check the flatness of the deck: Before installation, carefully
inspect whether the deck has obvious depressions, bulges or
deformations. Uneven areas must be repaired; otherwise, the laying
effect of the deck mat will be affected, and long-term use may
cause the mat to be damaged due to uneven stress.
Measure and cut accurately: Measure the actual size of the deck
precisely before cutting the deck mat. Reserve a certain amount of
expansion space during cutting to avoid the edges of the mat from
warping due to incorrect size or thermal expansion and contraction.
Choose an appropriate fixing method: Select a suitable fixing
method according to the usage scenario and deck material, such as
using special glue, double-sided tape or clips. Ensure uniform
force when fixing to avoid local over-tightening or loosening.
Avoid installation in extreme weather: Try to avoid installation in
rainy, snowy weather or environments with excessively low
temperatures. Extreme weather may affect the adhesiveness of the
adhesive and cause abnormal expansion and contraction of the EVA
material, thus impacting the installation quality.
Avoid excessive pulling during laying: When laying the deck mat,
handle it gently, lay it flat along the natural direction, and
avoid pulling or dragging forcefully to prevent the mat from
deforming or tearing. Pay special attention to the edges and
corners to ensure they are flat and well-adhered.
Properly handle the seams: If multiple deck mats need to be
spliced, the seams must be aligned and tightly fitted. Special
sealant can be used to treat the seams to prevent water from
seeping under the seams and damaging the deck, while also avoiding
the seams from becoming a tripping hazard.
Pay attention to the specifications for using adhesives: If using
adhesives, control the dosage according to the product
instructions, apply it evenly, and wait until the adhesive reaches
its optimal viscosity before attaching the deck mat. Ensure good
ventilation during operation to avoid discomfort caused by the
adhesive's odor.
Avoid immediate loading after installation: After installation,
depending on the fixing method, allow sufficient curing or bonding
time. Do not walk on it or place heavy objects immediately to
prevent the mat from shifting or the fixing from failing.
Post-installation inspection and maintenance: After installation,
thoroughly check whether the deck mat is flat, firmly fixed, and
free of bubbles or warped edges. Address any issues promptly.
During daily use, regularly clean the surface of the mat and avoid
scratches from sharp objects to extend its service life.
