The GE IS220PSCAH1B is a Serial Communications I/O Pack part of the Mark VIe Series, facilitating data exchange between 1–2 Ethernet I/O networks and serial terminal boards. Manufactured in the U.S. and readily available, it integrates a shared Mark VIe processor board and a dedicated serial communications board, serving as a critical interface in industrial control systems like turbine management.
Key Features:

Serial Connectivity: Equipped with 6 configurable serial channels supporting RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 half-duplex standards. RS-232 supports 50 ft/19.2 Kbps; RS-422/485 extend to 1000 ft/375 Kbps with 8 drops, ensuring flexible device integration.

Ethernet & Modbus: Dual 10/100 Ethernet ports enable redundancy; one port supports Ethernet Modbus on simplex networks. Data flow includes fixed I/O and Modbus I/O (up to 9600 bytes at 1 Hz via IONet).

Reliability: Features soft-start power management to control inrush current and fast current limiting. Auto-reconfiguration allows seamless replacement via ToolboxST, with controller auto-downloads of firmware/parameters.

Design & Diagnostics: Compact (8.26×4.19×12.1 cm) with surface-mount tech, operating at -30 to 65°C. LEDs indicate power/status; infrared port supports local diagnostics. DC-62 pin connector links to terminal boards, with secure mounting via threaded inserts.
