Wiring layout suggestion:

1. Suggesting KNX bus wiring hand-in-hand to the end, star, or tree wiring is not recommended to ensure the stability of signal transmission.

2. KNX bus wiring recommends KNX standard EIB shielded wire or Category 6 network cable. The length of the bus wiring is recommended not to exceed 400 meters, and the number of sensors connected to a bus is recommended not to exceed 12.

3. The number of sensors connected to a bus needs to fully consider the current load capacity of the power supply: that is, the sum of the currents of all KNX devices (including sensors) shall not be greater than the load current of the KNX power supply.

6. Initialization

After routing the physical addresses and setting the channel parameters, follow these steps:

(1) Connect the Bus interface.

(2) Set the Bus and auxiliary power on (note: please make sure that the product has an auxiliary power supply; otherwise, the device may not work properly).

(3) Press the programming switch of the product; the LED light will turn red.

(4) Use the bus interface to download the physical address through the ETS software. The programming LED light is off to indicate that the physical address download is completed.

(5) Download the application after setting the required application parameters.

(6) After downloading the application, the product goes into initialization. During initialization, the detection function is disabled. After 20S, the initialization is completed, and the product works normally.

Note: Please use the latest version of ETS 5 or 5.7.2. Please obtain this sensor's ETS engineering configuration file from our sales staff.

Microwave Motion Sensor

Based on principle of Doppler effect and 5.8GHz microwave detection technology for motion detecting. Currently, Merrytek developed over 200 models motion sensors which support long detection area up to 20m, 15m mounting height and outdoor use motion sensors. LifeBeing Presence Sensor Technology

As only support big range movement detecting, microwave is normally used in the places people only make a brief stay, for example, corridor, stair well, warehouse and parking lot. Merrytek use high frequency microwave and unique programming, microwave sensors are able to detect very minor movements, i.e. typing and breathing to avoid false reporting and underreporting. Merrytek provides series sensors with KNX, DALI, 485 and Bluetooth for building automation.

Flicker-free DALI/1-10V Dimmable LED Driver

Replacing traditional incandescent and fluorescent lights with more efficient and longer-lasting LED-based solid-state lighting (SSL) is an undeniable trend in the lighting industry. However, since SSL fixtures are directly connected to an AC power supply, (consistent with legacy lighting), there is a risk that 100-Hz or 120-Hz flicker could occur as a result of the driving AC current’s fluctuation at the supply's output. Flicker can make people uncomfortable, causing headaches, stress and fatigue even though the human eye may not detect the flicker.

Currently, most of dimmable LED drivers have flickering issues (especially PWM types), when dimmed below 5%. Merrytek newly-developed flicker-free dimming technology can eliminate nearly all flickering and even when dimmed to 2%.
