JIS G3455 specifies seamless carbon steel pipes designed for high-pressure service at temperatures up to approximately 350 °C. These pipes are manufactured from killed steel using seamless processes, available in hot-finished or cold-finished forms.
Temperature limit: up to ~350 °C.
Outer diameter (OD): from ~10.5 mm (nominal 6A / 1/8B) up to ~660 mm, with many sources citing 15 mm to 600 mm.
Wall thickness (WT): commonly from ~1 mm up to 50 mm; some suppliers indicate 2 mm–14 mm.
Length: up to about 16 000 mm.
Grades: STS 370, STS 410, STS 480, and STS 510.
