Cat5e twisted pair has less attenuation and crosstalk, higher attenuation to crosstalk ratio (ACR), signal to noise ratio and smaller delay error, and its performance has been greatly improved. Cat 5e cable is mainly used for Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps).

Main uses of cat 5e twisted pair

Cat5e twisted pair is mainly used for communication companies or network companies to deploy outdoor short-distance links. The maximum effective communication distance of ordinary cat5 line is 100m, and the maximum communication distance of cat5e line is 300m. And the service life of the outer protective layer is much longer than that of ordinary cat5 wire. Most of the lines connecting to your router or switch from the community gateway or the whole building gateway are category 5e lines.

Cat5e twisted pair connection method

1. First, connect 1-2, 3-6, 4-5 and 7-8 according to the twisted pair point. If it is not connected according to line-to-point, the purpose of anti-interference of twisted pair can not be achieved. When the transmission distance is a little far, the signal is chaotic.

Note: each color forms a pair, such as red, black, orange, etc.

2. The connectors at both ends of the cable should be consistent. Generally, you can do it yourself. But at the other end, someone else has done it well and has marked the 568B standard, so you can't connect indiscriminately.

Wiring formula: from shallow to deep, 4 and 6 exchange.

Operation steps: arrange from left to right in the order of orange, green, blue and brown, split the green line pair and embed the blue line pair.
