High Strength and Corrosion Resistance Aluminium Honeycomb Core For Aerospace Industry is a lightweight core material which offers superior strength and corrosion resistance against the 3003 commercial grade aluminum honeycomb core. 5052 honeycomb core is made from 5052 aluminum alloy foil and meets all the requirements of aerospace use standard.

General Instruction:

Aluminum honeycomb core is made of aluminum foil which is bonded by special high strength and environment-friendly glue. The performance of the aluminum honeycomb core is determined by aluminum foil, joint glue and the specification of the core.

1. Aluminum foil
3003H24/5052H18 grade aluminum alloy foil with the surface special treated has been used for producing the core.

2. Glue

Modified epoxy glue for high temperature cure process can provide not only sufficient bonding strength, but also environmental protection and high or low temperature resistance properties. The joint strength of aluminum honeycomb core is the keypoint of evaluating its performance, whose minimum requirement should be more than 2.0N/mm.

Applications:

​5052 aluminum honeycomb uses include aircraft floors, aircraft leading and trailing edges, missile wings, fan casings, fuel cells, fuselage components, helicopter rotor blades and navy bulkhead joiner panels, energy absorption, air/light directionalization and EMI/RFI shielding. 5052 honeycomb is suitable for applications where materials conforming to AMS C7438 Rev A are required.
