Specification

1. Maximum smoke density (MSD) and smoke density (SDR) for the specimen: 0-100% continuously measurable and automatically calculated;

What is smoke density test?

This test measures the amount of smoke given off by a material that is burning or smoldering. The material is tested when it begins to smolder and again when a flame source is added. The smoke density is between 0 (no smoke generated) and 800.
